Hello and welcome to The Mike Brown Group. We’re thrilled you are here! You no doubt want to kick the tires on us (so to speak) before you decide to join our team. We appreciate that. We have a vigorous hiring process that insures we identify the right people, as we have high expectations for our team members. All of us work hard and play hard, so please realize that we are selective on who we bring onto our team. We want your experience with The Mike Brown Group to be the best in your career. We want you to accomplish great things, but more importantly, become a better person than you were when you walked through the door. Hard work is more than coming in a little early or leaving at 5:30 p.m. We expect you to challenge yourself, set big goals and push your limitations. Moving outside of your comfort zone is one of the best ways people can grow, so challenge yourself to find new ways to serve your customers and keep your career invigorated. You are the CEO of you. Where do you want to be in a year? What about five years? Ten years? What’s important to you? How can we work together to get you to your goals?
We’ve worked with many different personality types over the years and every interaction has educated, enlightened and inspired us. It’s given us life lessons and important experience. It is through these engagements that we’ve identified ten attributes, or values, that are key pillars of our organization and its success. We want to take you through a journey of the ten attributes that make up our culture here at the Mike Brown Group. We’ll discuss what the attributes are, what they mean to us, and how we use them in every interaction we have with those we serve. These unique qualities define our culture, our character, what we stand for, and what customers expect from us. We hold our team accountable to these virtues, often checking to see that we live up to them each day. Learn each one and see how you can improve and grow in them. In fact, you’ll exceed our expectations – and those of your clients – if you invest yourself in our values. Get to know us in the videos that follow as we will discuss the ten attributes of what it is to be part of the Mike Brown Group. They are not in any particular order, so feel free to peruse ones that appeal to you first. However, all attributes are equally important within our organization.
Attributes at a Glance
We pride ourselves on our culture at MBG. We know that our amazing culture directly effects our mission and our success. Our entire team is passionate about what we do. We enjoy working together, we laugh and have fun, we support and respect one another and we work tirelessly to make positive impacts on our clients’ lives and within our community.
We aim to exceed expectations, not to just merely meet expectations. We don’t want to be good, or even great… we want to be exceptional. We hold ourselves and our work to high standards and have continuous goals to improve every day.
We compete to win. We have a growth mindset that pushes us to work hard every day. We are focused and fully committed.
When we make commitments, we follow through. We do what we say and say what we do. We show up and finish what we start.
“It can’t be done” isn’t part of our vocabulary. When others fail, we push through. We are, and will continue to be, extreme solutionists.
Collaboration brings the greatest ideas. No one person has all the answers. We value the input and perspectives of each individual and use them as tools to grow. Continual learning is essential to our success and we view teachable moments as victories.
We like to try new things. Status quo doesn’t fly on our team. Thinking “outside the box” is encouraged and applauded.
No “Debbie Downers” on this team. Setbacks happen, but that doesn’t stop us from keeping our eye on the prize and winning. We are confident in our ability to overcome challenges. Nothing stops us.
We are honest and keep our word. We don’t say one thing to one person and something else to another. Our Yes is Yes, our No is No.
We give our work everything we have day-in and day-out, but we also know how to have fun. We are intentional in building relationships with our teammates and create times specifically dedicated to have fun together.
